Xidian University is a key national university under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education. It dedicates primarily to the electronics and information education and research, with an integration of a wide range of academic subjects covering engineering, physics, arts and social sciences. It is one of the elite class of institutions of higher learning selected nationally as part of China’s state educational enhancement project labeled “211”. Xidian University is one of the universities that has been approved by the government to enroll foreign students to study academic courses, and it has been authorized to confer Bachelors, Masters, and Ph.D. degrees. It has also established a Chinese Training Center for Chinese studies.

In the past seven decades since its founding in 1931, Xi dian University had greatly expanded its education pro- grams and obtained its position as the base of education and research for nurturing the talents in the fields of ele- ctronics and nformation.
