Jilin University Press was founded in the year 1983 and now it is developed into a press with professional uniqueness and certain social influence. Our yearly publication of books amounts to more than 160 kinds and in the year 1995, we were assessed as advanced university press by the Educational Ministry of People’s Republic of China.

Jilin University Press has the advantage of comprehensive disciplines and we pay much attention to the academic accumulation. Relying on the abundant resource for publication, we set as our guiding principle in running our press “to serve our teaching and research”. With the above-mentioned principle as our guide and led by the refined academic works, we have published many academic monographs, teaching materials for universities, reference books and all of these publications are of high quality. Our administrative levels have been improved gradually. With many year’s development, the publication of the teaching materials for universities in disciplines like law, economics, foreign language teaching, advanced science and engineering has formed its own scale and has brought about beneficial social effect. We have also built up our characteristics and the structure of our publications develops towards the direction of serial books, grouped books and well-known brands.

In the past 22 years, we have published more than 3000 kinds of books, among which more than 200 kinds have won prizes of national and provincial levels in various evaluations. Besides, we have signed contracts concerning copyright trade with overseas publishers and the cooperation has internationalized our publications.
